Vintage Creative World Ceramic Desktop Globe with Metal Stand

This vintage ceramic globe rotates on a black metal base and features a multi-colored world map design. It was made in Italy. It is in good vintage condition, with no chips in the ceramic and some rust in the stand. There is also an opening on the top that I'm not sure what was supposed to go there, please see pictures.

Measures about 7 3/4" tall, and about 6 1/4" wide
